FREE EXCUSIONS TO SEE BEHIND THE SCENES OF TV SHOWS
We have a unique opportunity for SECONDARY SCHOOLS and TERTIARY ORGANISATIONS to bring groups of students to be in the audience and see behind the scenes.
Many shows have sessions filming during the 9-5 of the working week. It's often difficult to fill shows that film during work hours without relying on group bookings.
In order to secure group bookings we negotiate with productions - if they want students to fill their seats, they should provide an educational component. It's give and take. Their studio gets filled and students get a unique opportunity to see behind the scenes.
WHY IS IT FREE?
That's The Ticket is hired by Production Companies to fill their audiences so they can focus is on creating great content for television.
Although watching a show is excellent entertainment it is not like watching the finished product at home.
Each session takes around 3–4 hours, with stops, starts, and retakes.
The bonus? The audience see everything that doesn’t make it to air and get a glimpse behind the curtain at the work that goes into making television magic.
BEHIND THE SCENES TOURS & Q&A WITH CREW
We love it when students ask questions! If a student is particularly interested in one area of production we will try and match them up with the relevant crew member (they love the attention!).
Where possible, we also coordinate tours that can include areas that are usually off limits to everyone except the director and lead production and technical staff.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I SIGN UP TO THE GROUP BOOKING MAILING LIST?
We will contact you when we have shows that are open for school group bookings.
We try to email a minimum of 6 weeks out from a show.

WORK EXPERIENCE OPPORTUNITIES
For students who are serious about pursuing a career in film and television THAT'S THE TICKET are happy to take on WORK EXPERIENCE requests from students who we have met through group bookings. Students get an opportunity to be a part of the Audience Team which affords a great vantage to see how a show runs and make contacts for future employment opportunities.
JOB OPPORTUNITIES
That's The Ticket often hires tertiary students who we've met via school group bookings to work as part of the Audience Team. It's a fantastic springboard to enter the industry with many of our past hires now working along side us in other departments. We regularly have Production Managers contacting us for recommendations.
